Announcements for 2015 and a Blog Candy Prize

Good afternoon everyone!    Tomorrow, Dec 24, at 12 Am, we will announce the winners of DPDC53.

TODAY, I have some announcements about changes that have to happen at Doodle Pantry in 2015. And there is blog candy offered at the bottom of the post...

1. First, a very unfortunate announcement.  Due to the VAT law changes in the European Union, the shop can no longer sell digital products to those living in a member country of the European Union, countries listed here, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
How am I regulating the sales?
  • The Paypal account will no longer accept payments from those with residential addresses in a European Union member country.
  • Likewise, a pending order with a balance due will be cancelled immediately, and the downloads will NEVER be activated.
  • If by a freak of technical chance, a payment actually goes through from someone in a European Union country, your order will still not be activated.
  • I do believe, however, anyone can win and use a PRIZE won from a challenge, as long as after you use the prize amount, there is not a balance due.  So I certainly hope those in the European Union will still play our challenge as well as those whom we sponsor for a chance to win.
2. IN January, we are changing our release days.  We will have between 2-5 NEW products EVERY Tuesday, 4 Tuesdays each month!!!  And when you shop on a Tuesday, the NEWLY released products on that day, will be marked 20% OFF!  But only on the Tuesday they are released!

3. Our Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge (DPDC) is GOING AWAY!

4. And a NEW challenge is starting!  What's the new challenge called?  It will be called Ants In My Pantry Digital Challenge (AIMPDC)! It will start on the FIRST Tuesday, and will accept entries for 2-1/2 weeks and winners announced on the 4th Monday of the month.
  • The monthly challenge will have THEMES.
  • There is no featured product.
  • Only enter once, follow theme guidelines.
  • Two winners are chosen by random.
  • I think it is going to be a lot of fun!
5. Now for some blog candy!  MAKE A COMMENT on this post to enter. I will announce a winner Dec 30 and you have 3 days to claim your prize. If the first winner does not share their contact email on their blogger profile, and does not come back to see if they are a winner, then I will redraw.   What's the prize?  See below.  (I have much more clear stamps that I acquired from left over stock after CDS closed, so I will be offering more clear stamp prizes in 2015)
  • $15 gift coupon to use at
  • 4 clear polymer stamp sets of Doodle Pantry images (previously marketed under CDS) Seasonal Swags, Classic Monogram Alpha, Josephine Clematis, and Moose Friends
  • 8 individual mini clear polymer stamps of Doodle Pantry images (previously marketed under CDS) Mr. Spike, Flying Dove, Tiny Tree, Baseball Cap, Muffin Cupcake, Norman Snail, Harietta Hippo, Pizza Slice
  • 3 satin ribbon spools
  • 1 Spellbinders Decorative Labels 22 die set new
  • 1 mini THANKS die (was a free die in October from Taylored Expressions)
Mini Clear Polymer Stamps shown above

Dies and Ribbon above
Thanks for visiting us today and I hope you enjoy your day.
Be safe, be blessed, be inspired, and get crafty!

As a citizen of the UK I am feeling very uncharitable towards the EU, nothing new there! As usual laws to prevent the big guns like Amazon wriggling through loopholes are knocking out the little companies. This week alone 5 of my favourite sources for digi stamps have decided enough is enough. I am still waiting a response from my MP. Can you tell I am somewhat angry and it is supposed to be Christmas, the season of good will. If the EU thought about it I am sure they could have made digi images VAT free, after all to the best of my knowlege Amazon don't sell them!
Meanwhile I do hope you have a really good Christmas and all the best for what ever 2015 brings. x

Hi Laurie - I am so sorry about this VAT tax and how it effects so many people in crafting - some stores are closing their doors and some challenges are also closing due to this tax - I wish you the best - thanks for a chance to win a wonderful prize - I have many of the CDS and they are great stamps that I use often! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thanks for the opportunity to win blog prizes Laurie. Am so sorry to hear about these stupid tax laws - things like this always affect the 'little guy'. I'm in Canada, so it looks like I personally won't be affected but feel awful for others who are. Look forward to the new challenge setup and wish you all the very best for the holiday season and 2015!! Thanks so much for all you do! xx

I'm with Pippa on this the EU is bringing laws that don't help the little people. I'm also in the UK and don't see why 20% should be added to digital products. I am a digital card maker and that is my hobby, I am so angry about it.

However perhaps I can get my fix with entering the challenges and hope to win.

Happy Christmas everyone.

Wow thanks for the chance at this AMAZING prize.
The new challenge info sounds fun.
Sorry the new VAT regulations are making things so difficult for small business like yours AND those crafters effected in those countries. Yikes.
Maybe instead of a gift certificate prize you could offer their choice of a few images you email to your winner.?. Just a thought...

I am very excited for all the changes in the new year but am also upset for the UK that has to miss all the new digital images. I am also upset for all the small businesses having to close because of this tax thing. Not fair but I have to say, I am so happy that you, Laurie, do not have to close. You are one of my favorites. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thank you for the opportunity to win some candy. Sarah W

I love challenges, and winning some digi's is a great prize !
A gift certificate prize isn't a good option for me ... too expensive transport costs as I live in Belgium.
So thank you for this Blog Candy !
Merry Christmas and A happy New Year to all of you,
