Got a little crafty!

I had a little time to get crafty. That was sooooo nice!
I had a special masculine thank you card to make for my husbands buddy who helped us with something a couple weeks back.  I used the Moose head.  Hope he liked it enough to keep it on a shelf or something and not throw it away.
I personally love moose stuff!  In fact, I have a little collection of lodge style things with moose on them, and my mom is making me a lodge/moose/bear quilt, I am excited for her to get that done. (Hurry up, mom!)

Anyway, I really enjoyed making this card.  I took my time on the coloring and didn't mind at all.  I watercolored all the evergreens behind the moose head, since I knew I needed to work in the green color for the card base.  I love how this turned out so much, that I plan on making me a bigger one to frame for the entryway!
I didn't get a chance to take pictures along the way for a tutorial, but perhaps I can do that when I make my next Moose picture project. ~wink~
Here's the 5.5" square easle card and some close ups.
 I used linen thread twine and a needle and a piercer to stitch the thread on in various places.
 I hand cut the tree shape and the large rounded corner on the Moose head panel.
That's all for the Moose card!
SUPPLIES: Moose digital image, Canson 90 lb. watercolor paper and a printer, sage CS, evergreen CS, chocolate CS, corner rounder, snips, brads, linen thread, piercer, tree border punch, houndstooth and rough lines embossing folders and a Big Shot, sponge and coordinating ink pads, sewing machine, foam dimensionals, Tombow markers 228,249,899,947,969,992,942
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And here's a few cards I made using pre-colorized images from the February releases. The first is Oxalis. I used a font on my computer to make the Thank you.  Also used is Scallops circle and labels die by spellbinders, the mini flower punch from SU, pearl, sewing machine, and of course color printer.
 The Phonograph is here with a font on my computer that makes the Thank you. Color printer, SU scallop and oval punches, labels die from Spellbinders, sewing machine, pearl and some darling mini loop ribbon.
This one uses the Barbed Wire Digi Paper and one of the Western Color Image Combos.  I used a font on my computer to make the Thank you. Also used is Spellbinders label die, "fat" star punch and star brads, sewing machine.
I also printed the Western Color Combo Images really large onto 8.5x11 sheets so that I could make "frames" for them.  I covered angled 2" strips of cardstock with the wood scrapbook paper and placed them around the images and secured with brads for a rustic look.  My friend helped me with these, and they were used to decorate a room for a chili cook-off event at our church.  We put "ropes" above each picture on the wall, to add to the cowboy theme.  It was fun!
Here's a grouping photo of all the pictures, and then 3 of the pictures shown individually.  They enlarged quite nicely and printed well.
Well, thanks for visiting, I'm so glad you stopped by.  I hope there was something that inspired you to get crafty too.  Have a blessed week!
