UPDATED-If you are registered at our shop

I've turned off the comments for this post.
THANK YOU for all your replies so far!  This has helped me determine how to communicate with customers.  While it seems most are ok with the emails, it is true that if there is no opt out, it basically is not the users choice, and therefore technically spam.
So I have found a NEW newsletter service and have added the signup box to our SHOP home page.  It is in the left menu, under the login field.  I have NOT transferred any recipients from the old newsletter service, so if you'd like to be notified of Doodle Pantry releases, please sign up again.
THANKS so much for your support!  ~Laurie

Hello!
I just have a question for ALL registered users at the Doodle Pantry Shop.
There is a function where I can send a mass email to ALL registered users letting you know when new releases are up and about limited time specials, BUT there is no way for the users to "opt out".

MY QUESTION FOR YOU:
As a customer of the shop, I would like to know if you would agree to receive 1 or 2 max emails per month reminding you that there are new releases and limited time specials, or would you rather not get any emails at all?

Just comment on this blog post either way, I am interested to know which direction I should head for communicating with customers about new releases.
Thanks so much and hope you are having a super week!

I'd like an email - it's easier to keep up with releases than in all my google reader updates :0) xx

Laurie, I'm ok with 1 or 2 per month and as long as my email isn't shared with anyone else! Love your digis and I'm always here at the first of the month for challenge and specials anyway - it will be a good reminder!

I wouldn't mind 1 email...but an "opt out" option is always preferred (to give users the choice).

That would be great. A News Update -You could let us know about new releases and freebies and perhaps post your blog too, saves trawling through Google Reader. You may like to offer exclusive freebies for a limited time to recipients.
