Time for some Summer Reading

Hello crafty friends!
We are sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge this week and the theme is summer reading.  This was a challenge for me personally, as I have not made many removeable bookmarks.

But I hope this one will be loved and used!  I wanted to use an image panel and then I punched a horizontal slot on the top and bottom for the ribbon to go through. I glue just the sides down onto brown cardstock so that the ribbon could slide through up and down depending on where to place the marker in the book.
I wasn't sure how long to make the ribbon, so I just kept it about 8" to fit most books.

Above is the card with the bookmark removed.  I put the sentiment behind where the bookmark goes.
I created 4 corner holders by cutting a circle die and circle punch piece each in 4 quarters, layered the circle on top of the scallop die cutout and then used thin strips of foam dimension tape to stick them down. Now the bookmark will get held in by tucking each corner under them.
Thanks for stopping by today!!   I hope you can play along the TMS challenge this week and make any kind of removeable bookmark on a card. Hope to see you play along!
