Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge Sponsorship

THANK YOU for all your replies so far!  This has helped me determine how to communicate with customers.  While it seems most are ok with the emails, it is true that if there is no opt out, it basically is not the users choice, and therefore technically spam.
So I have found a NEW newsletter service and have added the signup box to our SHOP home page.  It is in the left menu, under the login field.  I have NOT transferred any recipients from the old newsletter service, so if you'd like to be notified of Doodle Pantry releases, please sign up again.

Hello!
I just have a question for ALL registered users at the Doodle Pantry Shop.
There is a function where I can send a mass email to ALL registered users letting you know when new releases are up and about limited time specials, BUT there is no way for the users to "opt out".

MY QUESTION FOR YOU:
As a customer of the shop, I would like to know if you would agree to receive 1 or 2 max emails per month reminding you that there are new releases and limited time specials, or would you rather not get any emails at all?

Just comment on this blog post either way, I am interested to know which direction I should head for communicating with customers about new releases.

Gettin' ready for school New Releases

I can't believe how fast the first half of summer has gone by!  I've spread out my drawing time this month and slowly worked on products instead of cramming them all into the last couple weeks.

FIRST, here are our specials!

1. School related items added to the DIGI GRAB BAG category and marked down 30% off from Aug 1 - 15!
2. Float yer goat is free with any purchase from Aug 1 - 24, even if you are making a coupon prize purchase.

NEXT, you may have noticed that there were a few good changes at the shop.  

1. I had to add a captcha for new account registration since I was being inundated with bogus spamming registrations. This just makes it safer for all of us!  MY information and YOUR information is now safer on my site.
2. I had the login field added to the top of the left column so that is resides there on all pages. No more having to click to the browse shop menu in order to find the login area!
3. Lastly, I had the "add to cart" buttons added at the thumbnail category level, so now you don't have to click into each product JUST to find the "add to cart" button.   If you already know what you want, you can add it to your cart from viewing the new release category!

What's in store for the near future??  A SHOP WISH LIST!!!!  Yes, it's on my list of things to do.  I've had several requests and it will finally happen before December 2012, provided there are no hiccups along the way.
