It's the pumpkin time of year

Mmmm, it's that time of year again... pumpkin creamer, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pies, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin cream cheese, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin cake... pumpkin bacon?  Ummm, maybe not, unless you're pregnant and just have to have your pumpkin and bacon too.
Oh, and a pumpkin card too!

(and just a reminder that there's only 3 more days left to get the Pumpkin set that I used on my card below for free with ANY purchase at doodlepantry.com!)

I just had to watercolor up the Pumpkin for a thank you/inspirational card I need to send to a friend.  I wanted it to just pop off the paper in a bright pumpkin color.  I wanted this baby to shout "I'm the best pumpkin in the patch!".  Oh and I wanted to capture all the rich fall colors.  The pattern papers that come with the Pumpkin set helped with that.

I made a 5-1/8" square easle card.
I printed the image on 90 lb. watercolor paper.  Watercolored the Pumpkin using Tombow markers and a waterbrush.  Sealed my finished image with acrylic sealing spray.
Here's a close up of the pumpkin.  I sized it to about 2-1/2" across so that it would be easier to color the vines.
The sentiment on the front and on the inside both come from a set called Merciful & Good. Here is the inside.   A nice little space for a note.  The sewing around the hole was difficult, but I think it really added a special touch to the inside.
And here's a whole shot of the front.  I tried to get a bow or button on the front, because I just love bows & buttons, but this is the second card in a row that I could not manage it due to all the flowers and ferns I keep adding to my cards.
Here's my list of supplies
PATTERN PAPER: digi paper from Pumpkin
