March 13th Top Notch Artist!

Good morning!  We are so happy to announce our March 13th
Top Notch Artist!
How do we choose our Top Notch Artists?
We keep a keen eye on our challenge participants and the members of our CDAC Doodle Pantry Group, and we hand select artists whom have shown us some fabulous work using Doodle Pantry images.

How often wll we be selecting Top Notch Artists?
Twice each month!  All Top Notch artists are notified by email approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the posting date.

What does the Top notch Artist receive?
The selected artist receives ONE Doodle Pantry product of their choice free, has a few of their projects using Doodle Pantry images displayed on this blog, and gets to display the badge below in their blog sidebar.
Drum roll, please!

Our March 13th Top Notch Artist is Elenor Sandstrom!

Congratulations, Elenor!  We love seeing your wonderful Doodle Pantry creations both here on the challenge blog and on the CDAC Doodle Pantry group!  Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us!

We would like to show you a couple of Elenor's recent creations using Doodle Pantry images.  You can also click HERE to go directly to her blog, where you will find lots of other eye candy!

Sponsorship of Cupcake Inspiration Challenge

Hello!
Today we are sponsoring the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge!  They have a scrumptious picture of some cupcakes to be inspired by today.  I hope you'll go check it out and join in on the fun for a chance to win a gift coupon!

On my little card below, I used the color image of the Watermelon Lunch and used the matching digi paper in the set.

My printer smudged just the tippy top of the worms head though, I was a little disappointed in that since I only printed one of that image on the sheet.  I decided to go ahead and use it.
The yellow paper is one of the digital sheets in with the Watermelon Lunch set.  I added some mini pearls in a few of the centers of the suns.

SUPPLIES for WATERMELON LUNCH card:
  • IMAGE: Watermelon Lunch by Doodle Pantry
  • CS/PAPER: white, digital paper included in set, baja breeze, groovy guava
  • INK: Printer
  • ACCENTS/TOOLS: pearls, sewing machine, prima flower, button, Spellbinders ovals dies, baja breeze ribbon, foam dimensionals

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have gotten at least a little inspiration to go get crafty!

Forget me not sympathy card

I sure don't like having to make sympathy cards, but we need to make them, ya know?
A vendor for the store my husband works at, his wife had cancer for a long time, and then she suddenly got put on life support and they didn't expect her to last long.  My husband knows the man pretty well and wanted me to make a nice sympathy card.  Ugh.  How hard!  You want to make something "nice" but at the same time, you feel like what good will it really do for someone just losing a wife of so many years?

I hope it shows that we cared enough to think of him during his really difficult time of losing his wife.
I used the Forget me nots on the front, and used the sentiment "I am so sorry to hear of your loss" from the Pasque Flower on the inside.

SUPPLIES:
  • IMAGES: Forget me nots, sentiment from Pasque Flower
  • CS/PAPER: 9 lb. Canson watercolor paper, CDS wild ginger, CDS deep sea, CDS billowing clouds, My minds eye breaking free patterned paper
  • INK: Printer, inkpads mustard and marina mist, Tombow markers 946, 990, 526, 491, 177
  • ACCENTS/TOOLS: waterbrush, Spellbinders ovals and labels dies, embossing folder, sponge, pearls, satin ribbon, basic grey button, thread, sewing machine, pewter bird charm, foam dimensionals
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I so appreciate your visit and comments!  They make my day and I am honored you would choose to visit me from time to time.  I hope you at least were inspired by some small thing today, and I wish for you happy crafting days ahead!
