Make a joyful noise!

Hello, wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Here is my creation using one of the newest releases, French Horn.  I wanted a musical instrument that I could use for general music themed cards, or for holidays/special occasions.  So the digital set includes a foliage and ribbon adorned natural horn, as well as an undecorated horn, and several general use sentiments.
My Card:
I chose to keep the berries white like mistletoe, and make a holiday card.  I LOVE the new Basic Grey Jovial papers!
I used the EK medium rock fern punch for accenting behind the bow and of course some teeny tiny jingle bells tied with thread around the bow.
The image is printed on 90 lb. Canson watercolor paper.  I watercolored the horn using Tombow markers and a waterbrush.  The only marker that was not Tombow, was the burgundy color for the bow, that is a SU burgundy marker.  For the hint of teal background,  I added just a very small amount of 373 Tombow in a few select areas around the horn and watercolored it out with a generous amount of water.  I didn't want to make that color too strong, just really light. If you look closely, you can see where I added the 373 Tombow color.... those areas are just a tad darker near the edges of the horn.
I also used a white gel pen on the brass parts after the entire image was completely dry.  This helped make the horn shiny.

SUPPLIES:
  • DIGITAL IMAGE: French Horn from Doodle Pantry
  • CS/PAPER: Canson 90 lb. watercolor paper, CDS red velvet cake, CDS wild ginger, CDS spring leaf, Basic grey Jovial DP

SHEEP DREAMS__________________________________________
Look at this cutie!
This image offered free to participants of the first Doodle Pantry Challenge on November 6, or you can buy him at the store HERE.

FRENCH HORN______________________________________
I wanted to have a musical instrument that can be used for holidays, but also for other occasions as well.

CHRISTMAS BIRDIE and CHRISTMAS BIRDIE PRE-COLOR_____
Here is the FINAL Christmas holiday themed image for the year, so I decided to have a regular black & white version and a pre-colored version for those who want to print and paste.
This birdie is ready for bed on Christmas eve and decorating his quaint little tree.

IBIS BIRD___________________________________________
I've not seen too many Ibis bird images, so I had to have one for general use.  There are several varieties, I discovered, giving a good range of bird colors to choose from.

BAKING ANTS_______________________________________
Oh these pesky ants are at it again... in your kitchen.  This baking theme digital set can be used for holidays or just regular baking themes.

And finally, here is a NEW freebie, BIG HUG BUNNY!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope you've enjoyed seeing the new releases and inspiration to use them!  The newsletter will likely go out late this evening or tomorrow with the challenge.
Paper Playtime Sponsorship for Nov 1!
We are proudly sponsoring the Paper Playtime Challenge today!  I hope you can check it out and play along!  The theme is to use a ticket, clock or tag.
My card is using the Movie Ants image, and I made my own "movie ticket" shaped sentiment panel using a ticket corner punch on the rectangle.
The finished card is 4.25" square.
I watercolored the image with Tombow markers and a waterbrush, except I did not blend the stripes on the cup or straw. And I added those stripes at the very last, after everything else was completely dried.
I thought that red stripe SU ribbon I had was perfect to coordinate with the straw!  Also, the tiny bubbles embossing folder added a bit of "carbonation" texture.... LOL.
SUPPLIES:
  • IMAGE: Movie ants by Doodle Pantry
  • CS/PAPER: 90 lb. Canson watercolor paper, CDS turquoise gem, red, white
  • INK: printer, turquoise inkpad, Tombow markers N65, N75, N15, 991, 026, 845, 515, Zig millenium .01 tip pen
  • ACCENTS/TOOLS: waterbrush, sponge, embossing folder, sewing machine, red stripe grosgrain, ticker corner punch, CTMH bitty brads, glue dots, pop dots
